Police have been asked to investigate after the George Washington University Brotherhood House dumped washing powder on the Torah reel. Chris Osborne, president of Tau Kappa Epsilon, told CNN that the vandals broke into the house while the members were away, and they returned on Sunday morning to find the damage. "There is washing powder dumped on religious texts, especially the Jewish law books," said the branch chairman. "We think this is an act of anti-Semitism... There is a Christian Bible and a Jewish law in the room. Only the Jewish law is broken. I think this is a hate crime." GWU principal Thomas LeBlanc Said that he was "shocked" by what he referred to as "anti-Semitism sabotage" and confirmed that the university police are cooperating with the DC Metropolitan Police to find the perpetrators. The Brotherhood also asked the Anti-Defamation League to investigate the matter.
