Guitarist and singer John Mayer unveiled his latest iconic collaboration. It is not a guitar, pedal, amplifier or even a watch. This is a set of iconic washing powder and fabric freshener.

The suit was launched in collaboration with The Laundress. It consists of two bottles: a 16 fluid ounce (473 ml) bottle of laundry detergent and an 8 fluid ounce (236 ml) Fabric Fresh spray bottle. These two bottles can be purchased separately or together as a gift set.

The fragrance of Way Out West was personally selected by Mayer and described as "a rich and affectionate fragrance of camphor wood, orange blossom, black pepper, musk and woody".

Mayer said of this collaboration: "I first discovered The Laundress products six years ago. We are organically aligned in philosophy. If you like fashion, you should go into fabric care.

"In the process, I found something very contemplative, which made Laundry Day a very soothing ritual for me. Way Out West is an extension and embodiment of this enthusiasm, and I am proud to introduce the new series to you. "

Like all Laundress detergents and fresheners, both products in the Way Out West series are in 100% recycled bottles, plant-derived formulas, and have not been tested on animals.

This combination is not the first time that John Mayer's iconic collaboration has occurred outside of the guitar world. Last year, he collaborated with Casio G-Shock to release an iconic watch inspired by the aesthetics of the Casiotone SK-5 sample keyboard in the 1980s. He said at the time: "This is the perfect bridge between my dual life as a musician and a watch lover."
