The offer is part of Pets At Home's new Halloween range and dogs get a free bandana that says 'frightfully clean again'

Pets At Home is unleashing its brand new spooky collection. The retailer is offering a Halloween spa package for dogs.

A visit to its Groom Room will come complete with spooky-themed shampoo and spritz as well as a free Halloween bandana that says 'frightfully clean again'.

For an additional £9 in the month of October, the package includes the shampoo and spritz, a blueberry facial, teeth clean gel and fresh breath foam, as well as paw and nose balm. The offer is available as part of the launch of Pets At Home's brand new Halloween range for this year.

The petrifying line includes spooky costumes, accessories, toys and treats. The cute outfits can transform your pooch into a giant spider or bat each with an adjustable Velcro fastening to help keep your pet comfortable.

There's even a frightfully cute Halloween dress, complete with a spooky spiderweb print with easy access to attach a lead to their collar for autumn walks. A range of soft knit jumpers is also suitable for the season and will keep your dog warm.

Karlien Heyrman, Head of Pets at Pets at Home, said: "We know family fun is better with pets and lots of people will be looking for ways to involve them in the celebrations this spooky season. From cute creepy crawly costumes to pumpkin accessories, there’s lots to choose from in our Halloween range this year.

"While we know everyone wants their pets to be part of the fun, it’s also important to make sure your pet feels comfortable in any outfits or accessories and remember that not all pets may enjoy dressing up. Costumes should never be worn for extended periods of time, and we’d always advise letting your pet wear their clothing or accessories for very short intervals in the run up to Halloween to get them familiar with it, and remove them immediately if your pet seems unhappy."

If you're unable to get your pet into a full outfit, you can try some accessories such as the pumpkin hat, witch's hat and spooky fur accessories. Pets At Home's sparkly bat wings are not only in keeping with theme but they're also practical as they attach to a quality harness to help keep your pooch safe on walks.

The Frankenstein, Pumpkinman and monster character balls may keep dogs distracted while you dress them. All animals like treats however so if all else fails you can give them some Rawhide Alternative Petrified Pumpkin treats or Ghoulish Ghost Cookies so they're still included in the festivities.

Karlien added: "Some pets can find the hustle and bustle of Halloween stressful, especially with unfamiliar visitors arriving to trick or treat. The spooky season does also bring with it some dangers for pets too. Lots of our favourite Halloween treats, such as chocolate and sweets, can be toxic to pets, so be extra-cautious at this time of year and keep them well out of reach from your furry friends. All the sweet treats in our Halloween range are specially formulated for pets, so owners can have peace of mind.
